Last Christmas

Sitting here trying to find some motivation to work, and whats better than reliving last christmas and looking forward to this years christmas break. Because going home for christmas is really the best award I can get for finishing my work. Looking at it that way I feel I HAVE to work hard to finish.

Oh last christmas was so amazing~! But I am realizing how little pictures I took, and how little I edited. This year I a going to take loads of photo, post like crazy and memorize everything tight into my bone. This year is extra special because I am further away than normally. I am in a situation where I’m not only looking forward to go home, I am also looking forward to get back to Norway. I am also missing a lot of people this year, usually it’s just a few. And I miss someone really really dear to me, M. It makes the going-home-for-christmas-feeling extra strong.

So here's some pictures from last year christmas and new year~!

Lights in Trondheim, so beautiful~

Snow on the mountains, just barely~! (I hope there will be loads of
snow this year!)

Packing Strategy

Step one: Throwing everything you want with you in the suitcase.

This strategy is only for clothes. Don’t throw make-up, shoes, books ect. I know you are aware of that, and why ~ This is what I do first every time I pack my suitcase. Just because, in the start I have no clue what so ever what I want with me.

Step two: Fold everything neatly and lay it on the bed...

…sort though it all and take pieces of clothing that gives you multiply of choices for outfits. This part is always difficult. I end up talking with myself, negotiating why I should pick that skirt instead of that one. Then I pack the rest~ I don’t like packing, but I don’t hate it either. Been living away for 5 years now so I’m pretty used to it, as I always travel home for holidays.

Yes, I am home at mum & dads right now. And it’s so peaceful and quiet as always here. After I moved to the center of Trondheim I am noticing this quietness a lot more than before. Right now its quite comfortable. Since traveling always makes me tired, I will probably go to bed pretty soon.

It’s okay to leave when you know you’ll be back soon

Just as the header is saying, its pretty okay to leave home when you know it’s not long until you get back. When I get back to Trondheim tonight its just 5 small weeks then its easter break and I’m here again, drinking moms strong coffee and eating homemade meals again. Seeing the people I love again.

But I got to admit its going to be great being back in t-town again~ Hearing the cars rush by as I try to sleep, always having the opportunity to go and grab a coffee at a café – I like the urban life.

These breaks do me good in so many ways. It’s like my little personal Zen place. I get time to reflect and think upon things, I get time to truly relax and feel my existence. Kind of meditating and mental training. Also in my head, I’ve been working on the concept of positive thinking. I feel refreshed, by batteries is fully charged. Life is sooo good right now.

Warm Christmas…

There was new snow on the mountain this morning~

But I wish it would snow some more on the ground too~

I really want a snowy and white Christmas this year, but it doesn’t look like its happening. According to the weather forecaster there’s going to be a small storm on Little Christmas Eve, and mild weather on Christmas Eve. All we can do is to make sure the atmosphere inside is warm and christmasy.

But I can still hope the weather forecaster got it all wrong, right?

Crackling noises from a fireplace is just lovely~

Lit candles is making extra nice inside

With a good book and a cup of tea + all this, rain and mild temperatures can be ignored. I got just one tiny problem. I didn’t bring any books with me. Maybe there will be a book or two waiting for me under the christmas three. I hope so.

13th of April – Hiatus

I really don’t want to do this, but I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s rude of me keeping you waiting for entries when I’m not in heath to do so. Last week I didn’t blog much because I was busy, and this week I haven’t been blogging because I’ve had fever since Monday morning. The bad news is that it doesn’t seem to want to let go. I am sleeping more than I am standing/sitting so there’s just no point trying.

I would be relaxing now but I have to pack and get ready for my train home. Easter break~ Once again I’m picking a holiday to be sick in. Terrific.

Well, that’s it, this blog is going to be on hiatus until I am well enough to stand on my own two legs without the fever and without the cough.
